Data Governance Technical Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Technical Lead to join our Enterprise team.

This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career and make a tangible impact at the forefront of the media industry. You will work closely with senior leaders to drive commercial growth and deeper engagement with data-driven solutions.

  • Implement Governance: Hands-on implementation and maintenance of AI and Data Governance frameworks.
  • Champion Data Integrity: Management of key data assets, ensuring quality and integrity fit for purpose.
  • Drive Privacy Compliance: Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for new projects, meeting obligations under the Privacy Act and APPs.
  • Manage Risk: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with data privacy and the responsible use of AI.
  • Collaborate and Educate: Partnering with teams to embed a 'Privacy-by-Design' culture and contributing to training programs.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in data privacy, data governance, or technology risk.
  • A strong understanding of the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
  • Hands-on experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs).
  • An understanding of data management principles, including data quality and lifecycle management.
  • A solid grasp of AI concepts and their associated privacy challenges.
