Data Governance Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a Data Governance Specialist to drive commercial growth and deeper engagement with data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Lead the management of key data assets, ensuring quality and fitness for purpose.
- Conduct thorough Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for new projects, guaranteeing adherence to privacy laws and principles.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to data privacy and responsible AI usage.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to embed a 'Privacy-by-Design' culture and contribute to training programs.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in data privacy, data governance, or technology risk.
- Profound understanding of the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
- Hands-on experience conducting PIAs and implementing data governance strategies.
- Familiarity with data management principles, including data quality and lifecycle management.
- Solid grasp of AI concepts, including machine learning and generative AI, and their privacy implications.
