Executive Culinary Director

The role of Head Chef encompasses senior leadership responsibilities, overseeing the entirety of kitchen operations within a fast-paced hotel environment in Adelaide.
This full-time position involves leading a team of chefs, cooks, and kitchenhands with confidence and professionalism through busy services.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, be able to mentor junior team members, and exhibit expertise across all kitchen sections, prioritizing quality, efficiency, and professionalism.
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is the minimum requirement, and the successful candidate must also demonstrate excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Key responsibilities include designing seasonal menus that align with customer expectations, maintaining high standards of food presentation, consistency, portion control, and quality.
Additional key tasks involve ensuring food safety and workplace health and safety compliance, overseeing ordering, stock control, supplier management, and cost control measures.
The Head Chef will be responsible for recruiting, training, rostering, and supporting a productive and positive kitchen team, responding to feedback, and collaborating with front-of-house staff to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
