Project Manager - HVAC Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our HVAC projects in South Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of HVAC projects for commercial and industrial clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage specific contracts and act as the primary point of contact with clients.
  • Ensure subcontractors and suppliers have up-to-date insurance and certificates.
  • Organize and manage resources to meet production and installation schedules.
  • Liaise with suppliers to procure contract-specific equipment and place orders.
Document Control:
  • Manage document control for specific contracts.
  • Analyze contract documentation and specifications to establish construction schedules according to client requirements.
Finance:
  • Control project finances and budgets, including interim progress payment claims and receipts.
  • Manage cost variations and seek approval.
  • Work to increase the original estimated margin.
Team Management:
  • Provide advice, assistance, and direction to relevant departments to ensure safe and efficient operations and successful project outcomes.
  • Supervise manufacturing, on-site tradespeople, and subcontractor personnel to ensure compliance with work instructions.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Drafting, Accounts, and Estimating departments.
About You:
  • Qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the HVAC industry, with a focus on air conditioning projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, design principles, and installation practices.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, organizing, and resource management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools for scheduling, cost control, and document management.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems, make informed decisions, and manage project risks.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a focus on team building and motivation.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Construction Industry Card (White Card).
  • Current Drivers Licence.
  • Commissioning experience.
