**About the Role**:
The Curriculum Policy and Standards directorate, within the Curriculum and Learning Division, provides evidence informed literacy, numeracy, EALD and Aboriginal Languages advice and resources for teachers and leaders that empower children and young people to learn and thrive.
The Project Officer, Aboriginal Languages is responsible for working closely with Aboriginal organisations and communities to increase the availability and quality of Aboriginal languages programs across the state. The Project Officer provides state-wide high-quality advice and support across a range of projects. This includes partnering with Aboriginal communities and a range of external and internal partners to develop and implement Aboriginal languages curriculum and collaborating with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) to support the development of locally relevant language and culture resources.
**Eligibility and Special Conditions**:
Applicants must be either currently registered or able to be registered to teach in South Australia. If not permanent with the Education Department, applicants must meet the department’s minimum employment requirements before taking up an appointment.
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**:
STL3 $143,545 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation.
