Project Manager
Job DescriptionThe Flood Resilience Program is a key initiative within the Department of Education, aimed at creating stronger, safer and more flood-resilient schools.
This role involves leading the planning phase for schools within the program, including delivering multi-options analyses, detailed business cases and Ministerial Infrastructure Designations.
You will be responsible for coordinating and leading external consultant teams to deliver work within condensed timeframes, as well as assisting with procurement activities for engaging external consultants.
The role also requires collaborating with internal and external stakeholder groups and agencies, providing project-specific advice to management and the executive, and liaising with other DoE units as required.
Key Responsibilities- Develop multi-options analyses, Detailed Business Cases, and Ministerial Infrastructure Designations for the Flood Resilience Program with minimal supervision.
- Coordinate and lead external consultant teams to deliver work within condensed timeframes.
- Assist with procurement activities for engaging external consultants.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholder groups and agencies.
- Provide project-specific advice to management and the executive, and liaise with other DoE units as required.
- Work collaboratively with staff and external consultants.
- Participate in Flood Resilience Program team meetings and contribute to policies and procedures that support the department's strategic direction on infrastructure resilience.
- Build and maintain high levels of communication and partnerships with internal units, external agencies and school stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Develop and maintain project programs to a high standard.
- Undertake project risk assessments to ensure project and corporate risks are captured and mitigated.
