
Culturally Sensitive Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Case Manager to join our team. As a Case Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting clients and their families to have their needs met in a culturally appropriate manner.
You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing safety and support plans, and working closely with government departments, schools, health services, and community agencies to deliver integrated services.
Additionally, you will identify and respond to risks, make child protection reports where necessary, and contribute to the development of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural practice within the team.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop and implement effective safety and support plans.
- Coordinate wrap-around support by working closely with government departments, schools, health services, and community agencies.
- Identify and respond to risks, including escalating concerns and making child protection reports where necessary.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and communities.
- Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field, or equivalent lived experience.
- Experience working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and other diverse groups.
- Knowledge of issues affecting Aboriginal communities, families, and children.
- Strong understanding of problematic and harmful sexual behaviours (PHSB) in children and young people.
- Demonstrated experience supporting children, young people, and families, particularly in child protection or similar settings.
