Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in a Case Management role.

About the Role
  • This position involves supporting clients and their families in a culturally sensitive manner, including engagement with local communities.
  • The ideal candidate will inform and contribute to the development of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural practice within the team.
  • Comprehensive assessments will be conducted to develop, implement, and review safety and support plans that address both strengths and areas of risk using a cultural safe lens.
  • A culturally safe pathway will be coordinated through wrap-around support by working closely with government departments, schools, health services, and community agencies to raise awareness and deliver integrated services.
  • Risks will be identified and responded to, including escalating concerns and making child protection reports where necessary.
Key Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field, or equivalent lived experience.
  • Experience working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and other diverse groups.
  • Knowledge of issues affecting Aboriginal communities, families, and children.
  • Strong understanding of problematic and harmful sexual behaviours (PHSB) in children and young people, including associated risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting children, young people, and families, particularly in child protection or similar settings.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and case planning skills, with a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach.
  • Current driver's license.
