The Opportunity:

We seek a skilled General Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team, focusing on delivering patient-centered care and contributing to positive community health outcomes. This role is based in Tamworth, covering outreach sites in Gunnedah and Nundle.

  • You will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive, culturally appropriate primary healthcare to patients with diverse backgrounds and medical needs.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, adhering to organisational policies and procedures.

About you:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is essential for this role.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, building rapport with patients, staff, and the broader community.
  • Able to work as part of a cohesive team, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritises mutual support and open communication.
  • Previous experience working in Aboriginal health, rural, or remote healthcare is advantageous but not mandatory.
