Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated professional to play a pivotal role in enhancing access to culturally sensitive health services for Aboriginal communities.

This position will support Aboriginal children and families by leading work in Sexual Assault and Domestic and Family Violence. The successful candidate will partner with managers and leaders to coordinate cultural consultation and ensure services are welcoming, safe, and focused on healing.

The role includes a comprehensive professional development plan, access to cultural and clinical supervision, and opportunities for growth through the NSW Health ECAV. This team provides regular collegial and cultural support, networking, and planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead work in Sexual Assault and Domestic and Family Violence for Aboriginal people
  • Provide culturally safe needs assessment and access to therapy, counselling, and other supports tailored to Aboriginal people's needs
  • Coordinate cultural consultation to support non-Aboriginal clinicians working with Aboriginal children and families
  • Share knowledge to enhance teams' understanding of culturally sensitive practice
Requirements
  • Recognised qualification in Social Work, Counselling, or Psychology; interest in Clinical Leadership
  • Trauma-informed service experience or community work advantageous
  • Current Unrestricted NSW driver's licence required
