Design and Technology Educator

About the Role:
The Design and Technology Educator is responsible for delivering a high-quality Design and Technology curriculum. This role involves implementing CECG's Catalyst Program and High Impact Teaching Practices, guiding curriculum development in line with ACARA, BSSS, and International Baccalaureate requirements, and fostering collegiality and effective department teamwork to ensure courses cater to diverse individual needs and learning styles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging Design and Technology lessons that meet the needs of students
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching methods
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational technologies and incorporate them into the curriculum
- Provide guidance and support to staff members on the use of educational technologies
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching qualification
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
- Teaching Quality Institute (TQI) registration
- Strong understanding of Catalyst initiatives and High Impact Teaching Practices
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
