Job Title: Operations People Specialist

About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled HR professional to join our team as an Operations People Specialist.

  • Partner with business leaders to provide expert HR advisory support and coaching on people matters, including workforce planning, performance management, talent development, employee relations, and change management.
  • Analyse and monitor workforce trends to identify leading indicators for operational workgroups and support the delivery of proactive strategies in response.
  • Support operational leaders to progress day-to-day activities and culture initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of quality services.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery by participating in a broader professional HR team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic HR advice to business leaders on people-related matters.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies to drive business outcomes.
  • Monitor and report on key HR metrics to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to improve employee engagement and retention.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in human resources or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a human resources role within mining or other related heavy industries.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills.
  • A good understanding of human resources and employee relations legislation and practices.
  • Sound judgement and objective problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using HR systems, such as Workday.
  • A valid C-class driver's licence.
