Key Leadership Role for Airport Growth

The position of Airport Services Manager involves driving growth at our Melbourne International Airport operation by leading strategic development and planning, managing stakeholders, and delivering high-quality ground services to international airline carriers.

This leadership role requires the ability to manage work areas, coordinate with stakeholders, and engage in strategic issues. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and stakeholder management skills, as well as experience in team management and development.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and delivery of client-centric operations, ensuring excellent customer service and exceeding expectations.
  • Manage a diverse team, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to drive team success.
  • Engage and negotiate with stakeholders on strategic issues, providing expert advice and advocating for customer focus.
  • Lead significant stakeholder engagement and consultation, ensuring delivery of diverse expectations and demands.

Maintaining close relationships with operational and support departments is essential to ensure a 'one entity' approach to service delivery. This role also involves analyzing financial and operational results, initiating improvement plans with internal and external stakeholders, and providing quality metrics and reporting on critical business issues.

Additionally, this role requires embedding a positive safety culture within the team, focused on awareness and vigilance, and implementing, administering, and operating the Safety Management System, prioritizing safety and security.
