About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Perth office. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in geotechnical engineering to contribute to the growth and success of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical advice on complex geotechnical issues to clients and internal staff, ensuring the delivery of best practice consulting services.
  • Utilize advanced techniques, modifications, and extensions of theories and practices to synthesize and analyze data for decision-making and recommendations.
  • Develop a reputation as a Technical Leader/Lead Consultant, participating in industry groups to maintain a high industry profile.
  • Manage, analyze, and carry out geotechnical reporting for projects.
  • Provide safety leadership in identifying and alleviating or eliminating high-priority safety hazards.
  • Participate in training activities, mentor, and transfer knowledge to other geotechnical engineers.
  • Manage existing and new client relationships and undertake proactive business development activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancing technologies, methods, and research and development.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and review/evaluate activities carried out by less experienced engineers.
  • Prepare tenders, proposals, and reports for clients.
  • Guide, participate, and support stakeholder engagement activities.
About You
  • Typically 5 to 12 years' experience in geotechnical engineering.
  • A successful track record in undertaking and managing field investigations for small to large-sized geotechnical projects.
  • Experience in promoting innovation in the field of geotechnical engineering to create value for clients and projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in the preparation and review of written technical reports and client communications.
  • Demonstrated experience in geotechnical design, including rock, soil, and structure interaction.
  • A civil engineering or engineering geology degree.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in a geotechnical-related field are considered favorably.
  • A strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Ability to take responsibility for geotechnical design delivery in a multidisciplinary environment.
