Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Perth. As a key member of our Geotechnical and Tunnels section, you will be responsible for delivering innovative and effective technical solutions to our clients.

About the Role

  • Provide technical advice on complex geotechnical issues to clients and internal staff;
  • Use advanced techniques to synthesise and analyse data for decision making/ recommendations;
  • Build reputation as Technical Leader/Lead Consultant;
  • Manage, analyse and carry out geotechnical reporting for projects;
  • Provide safety leadership in identifying and alleviating/ eliminating high priority safety hazards;
  • Participate in training activities, mentor and transfer knowledge to other geotechnical engineers;
  • Manage existing and new client relationships and undertake proactive business development activities;
  • Keep abreast of advancing technologies, methods and research & development;
  • Supervise, coordinate and review/evaluate activities carried out by less experienced engineers;
  • Prepare tenders, proposals and reports for clients;
  • Guide, participate and support stakeholder engagement activities;

About You

  • Typically 5 to 12 years' experience in geotechnical engineering;
  • A successful track record in undertaking and managing field investigations for small to large size geotechnical projects;
  • Track record of promoting innovation in the field of geotechnical engineering to create value for clients/ projects;
  • Demonstrated experience in the preparation / review of written technical reports and client communications;
  • Demonstrated experience in geotechnical design including rock/soil/structure interaction;
  • A civil engineering or engineering geology degree;
  • Post graduate qualifications in a geotechnical related field will be considered favourably;
  • A strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously and in a team environment;
  • Ability to take responsibility for geotechnical design delivery in multidisciplinary environment;
