We are seeking a Mechanical Designer/Drafter to collaborate with our team of passionate engineers and project managers.

The successful candidate will work on delivering plans for construction, collaborating with mechanical and process engineers to ensure seamless project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Import and manipulate vendor drawings/models.
  • Produce detailed mechanical drawings/models including P&IDs.
  • Export equipment/piping quantities.
  • Collaborate with mechanical/process engineers to deliver plans for construction.
  • Support project teams with documentation, revisions, and coordination of drawings/models.
  • Establish and maintain design templates and drawing standards.

About You:

You will be an experienced professional with a strong background in CAD software, including Autodesk Civil 3D and Plant 3D. Your expertise in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design will be essential in this role.

Your Ideal Skills and Expertise:

  • Proficient in relevant CAD software with a strong understanding of Autocad.
  • Experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design.
  • Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, operational practices, and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes.
  • Relevant TAFE qualifications, diploma, or degree in drafting, engineering, or design.
