Key Role in Our Water Business

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer/Drafter to deliver high-quality mechanical drawings/models. This key role involves working closely with engineers, designers and project managers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Import and manipulate vendor drawings/models using relevant CAD software.
  • Produce detailed mechanical drawings/models including P&ID's.
  • Export equipment/piping quantities.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical/Process engineers to deliver plans for construction projects.
  • Support project teams with documentation, revisions and coordination of drawings/models.
  • Maintain design templates and drawing standards.

This role can be offered on a permanent full or part time basis, allowing for career flexibility and work-life balance.

About You

You'll be seeking fulfillment through autonomy and the ability to drive successful project outcomes. With outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, you'll have experience working in a consulting environment delivering projects as part of a team.

Your Ideal Skills and Expertise:
  • Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D (Civil role) & Autodesk Plant 3D (Mechanical role), with a strong understanding of Autocad.
  • Experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design.
  • Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, operational practices, and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes.
  • Relevant TAFE qualifications, diploma, or degree in drafting, engineering, or design.
