Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Drafting Specialist to join our technical team. As a Drafting Specialist, you will play a key role in designing and developing mechanical sampling systems and equipment.

Your primary responsibilities will include preparing detailed drawings using AutoCAD 2D/3D and Inventor software, issuing accurate manufacturing drawings to fabricators, reviewing and checking drawings generated by others, and delivering designs and drawings within agreed project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical sampling systems and equipment using AutoCAD and Inventor software.
  • Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for manufacturing and fabrication.
  • Review and check drawings generated by others to ensure compliance with relevant standards and project specifications.
  • Deliver designs and drawings within agreed project schedules and budgets.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high level of proficiency with AutoCAD and Inventor software.
  • Strong experience in engineering design and calculations, applying your technical knowledge to deliver accurate and practical solutions.
  • Evidence of tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
