Job Description

You will be responsible for creating detailed drafting plans on large projects independently and leading junior drafters within the project team. Additionally, you will manage small projects autonomously where no Lead Engineer is allocated. Effective communication with engineers and architects is crucial for preparing and coordinating documentation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Translate structural information into drawing formats that can be interpreted by builders.
  • Support the Lead Engineer in preparing preliminary sketch designs from architectural drawings as needed.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior drafters, including technical assistance with Revit and other software.
  • Contribute ideas for improving drafting systems continuously.
  • Communicate relevant project details to project leaders and team members.
About You
  • This role requires a TAFE qualification or equivalent.
  • You must have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • You should be proficient in structural drafting using Revit.
  • A strong understanding of BCA and relevant Australian Standards is necessary.
  • Experience in leading and supervising a team of Drafters is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills are also necessary.
