**Job Overview**

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at PACT Group.

As a key member of our site team, you will be responsible for providing oversight and driving the consistent implementation of our HSES systems across the Minto Health and Personal Care plastic packaging manufacturing site.

You will champion and monitor the implementation of our Group HSES System, including communicating with Site Management and conducting inspections and audits.

Your key responsibilities will include providing oversight of health, safety, and environmental incidents, supporting sites with incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action closure.

You will also be responsible for monitoring and driving activities with external regulatory bodies, such as WorkSafe and EPA, and providing recommendations for continuous improvement of our Group HSES System.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide oversight of health, safety, and environmental incidents and support sites with incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action closure.

  • Plan and implement environmental, health, and safety programs.
  • Identify common environmental, health, and safety hazards inherent at the site and establish guidelines for their control.
  • Promote and champion a zero-harm culture by providing expert advice, support, and driving implementation of our Group HSES System.
  • Establish risk management and risk mitigation programs.
  • Monitor, interpret, and champion changes to the regulatory environment, including communication of changes to Site Management.
  • Support the development and coordination of strategies.
  • Train and educate leaders of our safety management systems.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety Codes of Practice, Standards, and associated obligations.
  • Skills in hazard identification, risk management, and incident investigation.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, monitoring, and auditing Safety or Environmental Management Systems.
  • High level of computer literacy and developed administrative skills.
  • Commitment to sustainability and providing an honest, respectful environment.
  • Experience working in Manufacturing/large, multinational, or listed company environments.
  • High level of initiative and ability to work effectively and remotely from the HSES team.
