We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Family Support Specialist to join our team.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on families in need. As a Family Support Specialist, you will work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and develop personalized support plans.
Key Responsibilities- Rapport Building
You will build strong relationships with clients, fostering trust and understanding through active listening and empathy.
Needs AssessmentThrough engagement and consultation, you will assess client needs and identify areas for support.
Support StrategiesYou will provide practical family support strategies and parenting skills to empower clients to manage challenging situations.
Contact FacilitationIn a safe and controlled environment, you will facilitate supervised contact between parents and their children.
File MaintenanceYou will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progress.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Certificate IV or Higher in Community Services
- Exceptional Communication Skills
- Cultural Competence
- Understanding of Family Dynamics
