
Family Support Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Family Support Practitioner to deliver interventions to families, addressing identified needs and child protection concerns.
The successful candidate will work with families to facilitate social learning, community connectedness, good health and well-being.
This role involves delivering an outreach model of complex family case-management programs to families, kids and young people.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging families with complex needs, obtaining consent and developing case plans in conjunction with the family which addresses unmet needs and child protection concerns.
- Delivering evidence-based interventions that promote positive outcomes for families and children.

Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in a relevant discipline (allied health, social work, human services).
- At least five (5) years' experience providing complex and intensive case-management and therapeutic services to families, caregivers, young people and children in a child protection framework.
- Cultural awareness and an understanding of how to communicate and work effectively with families from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
