Technical Operations Specialist

The role of Technical Operations Specialist involves working closely with various departments and suppliers to operate and maintain multiple simulators and training devices within the facility.

  • Maintenance, operation, and corrective maintenance actions on full flight simulators, virtual reality trainers, and desk-top training devices
  • Daily maintenance activities to ensure successful operations
  • Assisting with re-evaluation activities to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Supporting and rectifying minor IT issues
  • Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring calibration
  • Maintaining records and documentation using computerized management systems
  • Maintaining a positive working relationship with customers and stakeholders
  • Utilizing spares and repairing devices to meet contractual availability requirements

Requirements and Skills:

  • Qualifications in Avionics, Information Technology, Electronics, or related fields
  • Experience in technical workshops or maintenance environments
  • Strong customer relationships
  • Sound interpersonal skills and teamwork
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings, afternoons, and late shifts
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Defence Security Clearance – NV1 eligibility or current status

  • Experience in simulation projects in a technical role
