Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Carer to join our team. As a Multi Skilled Carer, you will be responsible for assisting residents with their activities of daily living by aiding with personal care, domestic tasks and social support.

This is a part time position working 51 hours per fortnight with shifts from 7 : 00am to 12 : 45pm. You will be primarily based at Mosman Park Care Centre then travelling to other South of the River sites as required.

Flexibility is key to meeting the required needs across multiple sites. This staffing model involves employees being part of a centralised pool, allowing them to be assigned to different locations within the SOR cluster.

As a Carer, you will foster meaningful relationships with our residents while providing personal care and support tailored to their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support resident's physical, social, emotional, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing through individualised care delivery
  • Assist with resident's care needs in line with their care plan
  • Collaborate with team members to promote a harmonious working environment
  • Support and advocate the rights of older people
  • Assist with personal hygiene, showering and toileting
  • Assist with activities of daily living, dressing and grooming
  • Assist at mealtimes including feeding
  • Administer medication
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate III / IV in Individual Support – Aging
  • Evidence of COVID-19 and Current 2024 Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical and reference checks
  • NDIS Screen Check (or willingness to obtain at interview stage)
  • Previous experience administering medications (desirable)
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to develop understanding relationships with residents.
