Job Title: Community Liaison Specialist

The Australian Government seeks a highly skilled Community Liaison Specialist to play a pivotal role in building collaborative relationships with First Nations people and communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, through effective management of daily activities and collaborative leadership
  • Fostering strong internal and external relationships, especially with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders, and providing expert guidance and constructive feedback
  • Contributing to business improvement and upholding a healthy, ethical workplace aligned with APS standards

Requirements:

  • A high level of cultural acumen and understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a demonstrated ability to develop positive and productive relationships across the agency as well as with external stakeholders
  • A high level of written and verbal communication skills including the ability to tailor communication to different and diverse audiences
