Crime prevention programs require dedicated and empathetic individuals to effectively engage with young people in their local communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver established crime prevention initiatives and activities to young people
- Research and develop new programs tailored to meet the identified crime prevention needs of the community
- Foster community participation and engagement in these programs
Requirements:
- Diploma in youth work or relevant qualification
- Minimum 3 years' experience in crime prevention or social community sector programs
- Strong ability to connect with young people and operate in a culturally sensitive manner within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Hold a light rigid driver's licence and be eligible for a Restricted Drivers' Authority
Working Requirements:
- Working With Children Check required
- COVID-19 vaccination mandatory for all employees
- National Police Check required upon commencement
