Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for maintaining a given portfolio of customers and reducing the aging of open AR by maximizing cash collections and reducing disputes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Accounts Reconciliation: Perform reconciliations and provide insights into month-to-month differences.
  2. Cash Application: Accurately apply cash to customer accounts.
  3. Manage and Process Refunds: Manage and process refunds for customers.
  4. Execute Monthly Billing Processes: Execute monthly billing processes.
  5. Resolve AR-Related Disputes: Resolve AR-related disputes within a predefined time frame.
  6. Review Dispute Documentation: Review dispute documentation and assign disputes to the appropriate internal owner.
  7. Conduct Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis, prepare, and present reports.
  8. Contact Customers: Contact customers with delinquent accounts to resolve issues and secure payments, documenting all activities in the collection system.
  9. Collaborate with Internal Departments: Collaborate with internal departments to research and support in obtaining information.
  10. Identify Repetitive Issues: Identify repetitive issues and communicate them to the proper owners to facilitate root cause analysis and resolution.

Requirements

  1. Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in finance/accounting
  2. Location: Must be located in Poland
  3. Professional Qualification: Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA/ACA/CMA)
  4. Knowledge: Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  5. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (reporting, data analysis, etc.)
  6. Language Skills: Fluent in spoken and written English
  7. Experience: Experience working in an international environment and in the SSC/BSC
  8. Problem-Solving: Ability to solve problems and propose improvements
  9. Customer Service: Strong customer service skills
  10. Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team
