Permanency Specialist
As a Permanency Specialist, you will play a vital role in achieving permanency for children and young people in Out of Home Care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement high-quality individual plans to ensure the best interests of the child are met;
- Establish and maintain functional and supportive relationships with children and families to achieve positive outcomes;
- Support the needs of children with a case plan of restoration, or those identified for guardianship or adoption.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in social work, psychology, or welfare/community services;
- Casework experience working with children and young people who have experienced complex trauma;
- Experience in working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds;
- A well-developed understanding of permanency placement principles;
- Highly developed conflict resolution skills and interpersonal skills;
- A current NSW driver's license and Covid-19 Vaccination.
