The Salvation Army Australia's Homelessness Stream provides high-quality, person-centred services to people at risk, and or experiencing homelessness.

We support adults and families, including accompanying children with accommodation, case management, outreach support, financial assistance, connection and referral to other specialist services.

About the role

We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Homelessness Specialist: Tenders & Standard, at our Coburg North location.

This is a permanent, full-time position, reporting to the Senior Homelessness Specialist.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS award, level

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and coordinate service quality improvement and accreditation
  • Support, coordinate and develop material to support tender and other funding applications
  • Identify future funding opportunities to extend service delivery profile
  • Assist in the development of national standards, quality frameworks and service improvement
  • Develop processes and procedures that facilitate consistent evidence informed service delivery
  • Develop materials or collateral that supports good practice and continuous improvement
Requirements
  • Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field and relevant experience
  • Post graduate qualification would be highly regarded
  • Experience in social and community services programs including program management in Homelessness and community housing
  • Experience in active membership in community or government bodies within the Homelessness sector
  • Experience in translating high level strategy into practice at a service level
  • A current drivers licence
