Energy Portfolio Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Portfolio Specialist to join our organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for modeling and analyzing financial and physical exposures across energy assets, designing structured deals and executing hedging strategies with trading teams, and maintaining and enhancing portfolio modeling tools and data integrity.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement advanced portfolio modeling techniques to optimize energy asset exposure.
  • Collaborate with trading teams to design and execute hedging strategies that minimize risk and maximize returns.
  • Maintain and enhance portfolio modeling tools and ensure data integrity throughout the process.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insightful recommendations to business units.
  • Support the deployment of risk management systems and develop metrics to assess portfolio risk.
  • Align financial KPIs with middle office reporting for consistency and transparency.
  • Work closely with IT and analytics teams to improve modeling accuracy and streamline execution processes.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong background in one or more of the following fields: engineering, applied mathematics, finance, data science, or a related field. You should have experience in portfolio modeling, risk management, or energy market analysis, as well as proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL. Additionally, you will require strong quantitative and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering business value.
