Job Summary

This is a key role in the Operations department, requiring strong leadership and technical skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing speed camera systems, fostering relationships with stakeholders, and leading quality assurance processes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and Calibration Laboratory.
  • Participate in projects to assist with risk and impact assessments, documentation, research, and evaluation of speed camera systems.
  • Coordinate speed camera resourcing, including process development, improvement, and office system optimization.
  • Lead quality assurance of deployment validation processes and monitor speed camera deployments, compliance, statistics, risks, and issues.
  • Plan and coordinate mobile speed camera calibration, maintenance, and replacement schedules, including arrangements for repairs from approved suppliers.
  • Provide leadership and direction to multi-disciplinary teams.

Role Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Negotiation and communication skills are essential for this role.

Qualification

A tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience is desirable.

Technical/Operational/Educational Experience

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a similar role, demonstrating strong technical and leadership skills.

Other

This role may involve travel to regional areas and overnight stays. Compensated by the Queensland Public Service Offers & Other Employees Award State 2015 and State Government Entities Certified Agreement 2015.
