Join our team as a Learn to Swim Instructor and be part of an exciting opportunity at Ipswich Girls' Grammar School. We are seeking casual instructors to assist the Head Coach and Junior School HPE staff in teaching foundational skills and supporting competitive squads during school hours and afterschool sessions.

Job Description

As a Learn to Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering development sessions focusing on technique, skills development and training to race. You will also assist the Head Coach with Junior School curriculum PE Swimming classes and support our current coaches with afterschool learn to swim and development squads.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality swimming lessons to students of various skill levels.
  • Assist in developing and implementing lesson plans that cater to different learning styles.
  • Support the Head Coach in coaching competitive squads and providing guidance to junior coaches.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety qualifications.
  • AUSTSWIM – Towards Competitive Strokes is desirable but not essential.
  • Current first aid, asthma management, CPR and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
