Production Engineering Role

The Production Engineer plays a crucial part in the operational success of our underground mines.


The role involves production planning and short-term scheduling, ensuring efficient operations and maximum output. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers, providing support and guidance to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.

The position also involves monitoring and analyzing production data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for maintaining awareness of environmental risks and obligations, and contributing to the development of strategies to mitigate these risks.

Our ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, with a strong background in production engineering. They will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to effectively collaborate with other teams.

A leadership experience and problem-solving skills are essential for this role, as well as a positive attitude towards safety.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Short-term planning and monthly schedules
  • Leading UG Production Engineers
  • Monitoring and Support - stope reconciliations, production analysis, and improvement
  • Cost management
  • Coverage of planning, production, and operational roles
  • Identifying and managing potential hazards and work-related risks
  • Maintaining awareness of environmental risks and obligations

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
  • WA First Class Managers Certificate of Competency
  • 5+ years mine engineering experience
  • Leadership experience and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A positive attitude toward safety

About You

This role is open to residents of the Kalgoorlie/Boulder area or FIFO from Perth working an 8:6 (12-hour day) roster, Thursday to Thursday.
