About the Role

As a Charge Up Operator, you will be responsible for the safe preparation and setup of charges in ore stopes and development headings. This role is critical to ensuring safe and efficient underground mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill statutory obligations for shot firing and handling dangerous goods and explosives
  • Manage magazine control and ensure compliance with re-entry procedures
  • Perform hole casing and other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor
  • Promote and implement safety practices and training
  • Collaborate with environmental teams to identify and manage environmental risks

You will report directly to the Mining Shift Supervisor and work closely with the Underground Mine Foreman, Superintendent, Technical Services, Surveyors, and Maintenance teams.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong safety mindset and proven underground mining experience.

  • Current manual C Class Driver's Licence
  • Valid WA Shot Firing Certification
  • Previous experience with Emulsion
  • Dangerous Goods Security Card
  • Minimum 2 years' underground mining experience
  • Experience with Hypercharge and Ikon systems
