Job Title: Data Protection Compliance Officer

Mars Recruitment is partnering with a leading financial organisation to find an experienced risk management professional for this exciting role.

This opportunity will see you analysing emerging risks, communicating effectively with senior stakeholders and preparing governance meeting packs. You will also support the implementation and oversight of the BFS Privacy Governance framework, ensuring ongoing compliance through policies, training, reporting and assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and assess potential privacy risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
- Prepare and present reports to senior stakeholders on privacy-related matters
- Work closely across various disciplines including Risk, Compliance, Legal and Operations to ensure effective risk management
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with data protection regulations
- Collaborate with the business to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as required

Requirements:

- 3-5 years experience in data protection or a related field
- Strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations, particularly in Australia
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
