About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Risk Specialist to join our risk management team. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our business operations comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor our central risk and compliance system, including ongoing monitoring and compliance obligation mapping
- Complete compliance test activities directed by the Head of Compliance
- Maintain Risk & Compliance policy and procedure documentation and recommend updates where required
- Provide supporting advice to business units on proposed internal processes or regulatory changes
- Assist in the oversight and reporting of internally reported incidents and breaches, including reporting to regulators
- Compile monthly risk & compliance data and metrics for use as part of the department's monitoring and reporting activities
- Monitor key business exception reports, test, and escalate further action when necessary
- Provide ongoing support to the department's annual compliance monitoring & testing programs
- Assist in the preparation, validation, and lodgement of regulatory and industry returns
- Provide ongoing support to the Head of Compliance and specific business units in meeting their compliance requirements
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- At least 3-5 years' experience in financial services with a focus on risk & compliance activities
- A good understanding of the banking & financial services regulatory environment
- Tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, or Compliance
