Compliance Framework Specialist

This role plays a pivotal part in developing and managing compliance frameworks, policies, and processes to ensure the business operates in alignment with its objectives, regulatory requirements, and risk management strategies.

  • Deliver expert advisory services on compliance matters related to superannuation, investments, financial advice, administration, insurance broking, and other key areas to stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of comprehensive compliance frameworks, policies, and processes that enable the organisation to effectively manage compliance risks and optimise operational efficiency.
  • Support the maintenance of the obligations library and undertake line 2 activities for obligations management, including identifying areas for improvement and enhancing compliance measures.
  • Establish and implement effective monitoring mechanisms for compliance practices, providing advisory support to assess adherence to organisational policies, regulatory obligations, and risk management strategies.
  • Manage and maintain appropriate financial services and trustee licensing and authorisations of entities.
  • Undertake reviews of compliance plans for managed investment schemes and conduct assessments of persons in regulated roles.
  • Review product disclosure documentation and marketing collateral to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on compliance frameworks, policies, and risk management strategies.
Requirements:
  • Experienced compliance professional with expertise in regulatory compliance or legal areas and experience in the Australian financial services industry preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and apply associated legislative requirements and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Capacity to provide strategic advice on risk culture behaviours, controls, process, and administrative matters to senior executives and Board stakeholders.
