About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned risk professional to join our Group Risk & Compliance team. As part of this team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that we operate safely, responsibly, and in line with our values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your expertise to drive initiatives that increase awareness and embed our risk and compliance frameworks across the organization.
  • Provide expert advice and oversight on key business activities, including new proposals, products, systems, and processes—ensuring compliance obligations and risks are well managed.
  • Develop and manage a control testing program, focusing on treasury and finance-related controls as well as people systems' risks.
  • Support the development and monitoring of scenario and stress testing frameworks, including governance, policies, and facilitation.
  • Offer trusted risk and compliance guidance to senior leaders, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
  • Drive continuous improvement in risk and compliance management—updating policies, training, and guidance to meet regulator expectations and business needs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors and support regulatory engagement, submissions, and compliance activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislative changes impacting financial and people risk, integrating them into planning and policy.
  • Contribute to training, reporting, and governance forums—promoting values-driven culture, capability uplift, and informed decision making across the organization.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in risk, compliance, audit, treasury, financial governance, investment / funds management or capital management is required.
  • Strong expertise in risk and compliance frameworks within financial services or corporate environments.
  • A proven ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders, balancing oversight with commercial insight.
  • A strong understanding of treasury, finance, and people-related risks and controls.
  • Experience in policy development, compliance training, and uplifting risk culture.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the confidence to provide independent challenge.
