Maintenance Systems Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Systems Technician to ensure the optimal performance of automated sortation systems and freight handling equipment at our facilities.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing sortation and freight handling systems, responding rapidly to mechanical faults or breakdowns, and following preventative and predictive maintenance schedules.

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on sortation and freight handling systems.
  • Respond promptly to mechanical issues or system downtime.
  • Implement effective preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter (Cert III Engineering – Mechanical) is essential.
Certifications and Qualifications:
  • Hold a Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting or related field.
Desirable Experience:
  • Familiarity with conveyor systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Basic understanding of PLCs, VSDs, and SCADA systems.
  • Experience working in fast-paced logistics environments.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Promote a culture of safety and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
