Mechanical Equipment Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for undertaking preventative and corrective maintenance on various mechanical systems.

This is a full-time role requiring 12-hour shifts on a 24/7 roster at Sydney International Airport. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting of all mechanical systems and equipment.

Your tasks may include conducting mechanical maintenance inspections, diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems and components, and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Undertake routine maintenance checks on mechanical equipment to prevent downtime.
  2. Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical systems and components.
  3. Conduct data analysis to optimize system performance.
  4. Provide technical support to colleagues and customers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical or equivalent qualification with at least 3-5 years post-trade experience as a Service Technician.
  • A strong background in mechanical engineering, particularly in industrial automation.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
