Mechanical Engineering Change Officer Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer/Mechanical Engineering Change Officer to join our Maritime team working on the Hobart Class.

The ideal candidate will provide mechanical engineering services that are accurate, safe, on time, and to approved standards for the development or modification of mechanical equipment, systems, structures, and/or materials.

  • Develop a thorough understanding of both ship and shore systems within your sub-domain.
  • Design and develop solutions, resolve engineering issues and problems for a range of situations relating to specialist knowledge area(s).
  • Contribute to project controls (schedule and budget development and tracking) and project management of Engineering Change activities within your sub-domain.
  • Act as an integrated member of the team and provide technical and project management leadership and oversight within your sub-domain.
  • Ensure that all documents and artefacts are completed, reviewed, and managed within appropriate standard procedures and defined work instructions.

This role involves providing expert mechanical engineering advice and guidance to support the development or modification of mechanical equipment, systems, structures, and/or materials.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing mechanical engineering solutions that meet strict quality, safety, and performance standards.
