Workshop Supervisor Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to progress your career in a dynamic and growing business. As a Workshop Supervisor, you will lead a team of skilled tradespeople and be responsible for the supervision of planned works, workshop labour and materials.

  • Supervise a team of tradespeople to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks and projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop rosters and job activities that minimize delays and costs.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of each task/job/project and their requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and detailed information is provided for scoping and estimating job/project costs and timeframes.
  • Review completed works and ensure all necessary documentation is completed, stored, and in place.
  • Attend meetings to resolve or report issues and progress related to the work.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A qualification in Engineering or a trade discipline with a minimum experience of 5 years in the steel or similar industry.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the inspection & repair process.
  • An unwavering commitment to Safety & Wellbeing practises.
