Job Title: Master Electrical Craftsman

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team. As a Master Electrical Craftsman, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, motors, drives, and workshop machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wire, assemble, and test MCC and PLC control panels.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, motors, drives, and workshop machinery.
  • Conduct electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting on production and workshop equipment.
  • Perform Low Voltage industrial installations (415/690/1050V) and high voltage installation/termination (11/22/33kV).
  • Industrial equipment electrical fit-out - control and power.
  • Hazardous area installations.
  • Switchboard modifications and repairs.
  • HV cable joining/testing, including paper lead.
  • LV/HV routine testing, earth grid testing/repairs, protection system testing, high voltage statutory testing, CT/VT testing, transformer testing, and high energy circuit breaker testing (ACB/MCCB).
  • Switchboard audits/inspections, power system audits/analysis, circuit breaker maintenance & testing.
  • Coordination and development of HV switching programs and thermographic imaging.
  • Assist in commissioning new equipment and testing components.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant workshop environment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:
  • Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel and CPR Skill Set.
  • EEHA Competencies (Coal Mining) as part of Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas - Electrical.
  • Work Safely at Heights.
  • White Card.
  • AS3000:2007 Wiring Rules.
  • Craft Certificate Electrical (Electrician).
