Drive Regional Expansion as Director of Sales

Atlan Holdings Bhd is seeking a seasoned sales leader to spearhead our regional expansion in the West region of North America. As Director of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, building a high-performing sales team, and establishing Atlan as a leader in the Data & AI governance sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Revenue Growth: Lead the net new business team to achieve and exceed sales targets, focusing on acquiring new customers and expanding Atlan's market presence.
  2. Pipeline Management: Ensure a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities through a combination of partner and inbound motions. Drive excellence in our introduction and discovery process to build and maintain momentum in the customer journey.
  3. Sales Strategy Execution: Implement effective sales methodologies, including Command of the Message, MEDDPICC, and coach and develop team members based on data-driven feedback systems.
  4. Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the sales team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  5. Customer Engagement: Act as a strategic partner for key accounts, understanding their business challenges and goals to position Atlan's solutions effectively.
  6. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to optimize sales processes, drive product enhancements, and ensure seamless customer experiences.
  7. Performance Monitoring: Track, analyze, and report on sales metrics and KPIs to assess team performance and identify areas for improvement.
  8. Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to maintain Atlan's competitive edge.
  9. Training and Development: Continuously develop the skills and capabilities of the sales team through training programs, coaching, and performance management.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: Minimum of 7 years of sales experience, with 2+ years leading high-performing net new logo sales teams for Strategic & Enterprise customers.
  2. Proven Track Record: You have a history of achieving and exceeding team sales targets in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  3. Data Experience: Ideally worked previously in the modern data stack, or alternatively a fast-growth scale-up in SaaS.
  4. Leadership Excellence: You possess strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a high-performing sales team.
  5. Coaching and Development: You excel in coaching team members, leveraging their unique strengths and helping them grow in their careers.
  6. Diverse Recruiting: You know how to identify and hire top talent, building a diverse and high-performing team.
  7. Strategic Mindset: You understand the intricacies of the sales process and are capable of turning strategic plans into actionable results.
  8. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
