The role of L&D Specialist involves planning, designing, delivering, and evaluating L&D programs, courses, content, and training resources. This requires a high level of expertise, creativity, and innovation, as well as strong collaboration and communication skills.

Some of the key responsibilities of the L&D Specialist include:

  • Designing and delivering high-quality L&D programs, courses, and content that meet organisational needs
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to scope, design, and deliver creative learning solutions
  • Providing training to meet compliance requirements and industry standards
  • Using data and metrics to inform strategies and solutions
  • Delivering administration and operations support for L&D activities

To be successful in this role, you will need to have significant experience as an L&D professional or specialist, ideally in a clinical, community, or human services sector. You will also need to have experience across a range of L&D design and delivery methodologies, including face-to-face, online, experiential, simulations, social learning, content curation, blended, and micro learning.

You will also need to be able to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders to scope, design, and deliver creative and innovative learning solutions. Experience with eLearning authoring tools, such as Articulate 360, and learning management systems is highly desirable.
