
Claims Management Strategist Leader

About This Role
This leadership position oversees the development and implementation of a comprehensive claims management strategy, ensuring consistency in claims administration across the organization.
Reporting to the Director, Claims Strategy and Governance, the Assistant Director leads a multi-disciplinary team responsible for coordinating Comcare's claims operations, governance, published materials, compliance, and assurance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic framework for claims management, driving best practice guidance and key information sharing across the organization
- Engage in extensive consultation on claims-related matters, fostering collaboration and consistency in claims administration
- Maintain risk and issue registers, coordinate responses to requests for information, and contribute to corporate governance initiatives
What You'll Need to Succeed
- A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as law, business, or public administration
- Significant experience in claims management, with expertise in governance, risk management, and compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
