The ClaimsAssessor is responsible for managing and processing trade credit insuranceclaims in an accurate, timely, and policy-compliant manner.

Thisrole involves end-to-end claims management, which includes verifying policycoverage, conducting assessments, liaising with stakeholders both internal andexternal whilst providing recommendations for claims settlement.

About the Opportunity:

Located in the Sydney CBD (role open to Sydney, Melbourneor Perth), in this full-time opportunity you will report to the Head of Claims andyour role will include:

  • Assess andmanage trade credit claims from lodgement through to resolution.
  • Interpretcomplex policy wordings and endorsements to determine coverage applicability.
  • Investigatethe cause of loss and confirm compliance with policy conditions.
  • Liaisewith insolvency practitioners to verify appointment status, creditor rankings,anticipated dividends, and recoverability.
  • Reviewdebt collection and legal recovery efforts to ensure mitigation of loss andcompliance with subrogation provisions.
  • Communicatewith brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding claims progress anddocumentation requirements.
  • Maintainaccurate, timely, and audit-compliant records of claims activities andoutcomes.
  • Identifyand escalate potential fraud or breach of policy obligations.
  • Contributeto monthly reporting, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supportteam members as required and participate in knowledge-sharing and processtraining.

About You:

As our preferred candidate, you will have:

  • Minimum 2years' experience in the trade credit insurance industry or similar financialclaims environment.
  • Priorexperience in claims assessment, collections, insolvency, or commercial creditrisk highly regarded.
  • Strongworking knowledge of trade credit insurance policy structures and claimableevents.
  • Provenability to manage stakeholder relationships under time-sensitive andcommercially sensitive conditions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and insurancesoftware systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational andcommunication skills.
