The Recruitment People are currently assisting our client in their search for a Business Development Executive.

About the Role:

As a Business Development Executive, you will grow sales across the Queensland region through developing your pipeline, booking appointments with businesses, and making client visits. You will also follow up on internal sales leads to convert enquiries into sales.

Your prospective client base will be procurement and purchasing departments / buyers of corporate merchandise.

Duties include:

  • Meeting revenue targets through targeting the corporate sector;
  • Understanding the market through research and working closely with the sales manager to understand the sales strategy;
  • Making appointments through lead generation and following up on incoming leads;
  • Attending sales appointments / online meetings with potential clients;
  • Converting sales to generate revenue;
  • Onboarding customers for successful first order in partnership with internal account management team;
  • Involved in tenders as and when required;
  • Updating the CRM system and managing your own pipeline;

Requirements:

We are looking for people with the following:

  • A proven track record of managing long sales cycles;
  • A tenacious approach to sales, challenge accepted;
  • Previous experience selling to corporate business is essential;
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills;
  • A proven track record meeting and exceeding targets;
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written;
  • Ability to communicate at all levels;
  • Previous experience with tenders would be highly advantageous but not essential.

Remuneration:

Base salary $80K + (Plus super, vehicle and bonus structure)

Package $110 - $120k
