Family Preservation Specialist

Our team is seeking an experienced and skilled Family Preservation Specialist to work with families who present with complex needs. The specialist will provide intensive wraparound case management services, delivering assertive outreach and undertaking risk assessments to engage hard-to-reach families.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver intensive family preservation services to children, families & caregivers
  • Develop and lead care team planning and implement creative interventions to support family stability and resilience
  • Assist families to address the safety and developmental needs of children and young people, and support parents to enhance their skills and self-determination

About You:

  • Must have a degree qualification in social work, psychology or a child and family welfare related discipline
  • Should have significant experience working with vulnerable populations, including those within the child protection sector
  • Must have a demonstrated understanding of theoretical approaches relevant to working with infants, children, young people and families, including strengths-based practice
