About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Night Manager to join our team at Hilton Sydney. As a Night Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless hotel operations outside of regular working hours.

Responsibilities

  • Be visible in the hotel lobby and other public areas, providing exceptional guest service and support.
  • Represent the General Manager and other Senior Managers in their absence, making key decisions to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all security and emergency procedures, managing incidents as required.
  • Handle any management issues or emergencies that arise, recording them and implementing necessary actions to resolve them.
  • Ensure prompt and complete management of guest complaints, resolving issues to the highest level of satisfaction.
  • Support the Night Auditor with front desk and accounting-related duties, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Produce nightly reports, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Inform other departments of guest special requests, including early/late departures and room changes.
  • Maintain awareness of all hotel areas, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

Requirements

  • A degree, diploma, or formal certification in Hotel Management or equivalent is essential.
  • A minimum of 2 years of Front Office supervisory experience in the hotel, leisure, and/or retail sectors is required.
  • Calm, efficient, and able to work well under pressure, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety and security procedures, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards.
